KPMG US has appointed Patrick Ryan as the managing partner of its Washington, DC office and leader of its US federal sector, effective September 30, 2024. Ryan will be taking over from Tim Gillis, who is retiring after an impressive 26-year career at KPMG. Tim has been the managing partner of the DC office since 2019. With an extensive background in operational leadership, business development, and client services, Ryan's wealth of expertise is a valuable asset in his new role.
Ryan, who began his career at KPMG’s DC audit practice in 2000 and later held senior roles at InPhonic and Integral Financial Group, rejoined KPMG in 2011 as a partner in the audit practice. His career trajectory includes significant contributions to both federal and commercial client sectors. In his new role, Ryan will oversee the strategic growth and development of KPMG's presence in the DC market, managing a team of over 3,000 partners and professionals.
