IBM and SAP have announced a strategic partnership to deliver generative AI-based services through SAP's RISE offering, aiming to propel digital transformation for enterprises. This collaboration builds on a prior initiative where SAP integrated IBM's Watson AI engine across its solutions portfolio, including ERP software like SAP S/4 HANA and cloud-based offerings. The partnership seeks to enhance SAP's ecosystem by infusing AI capabilities across various solutions underpinned by SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP), including RISE with SAP, GROW with SAP, and supply chain management services.
With a focus on innovation and industry-specific solutions, IBM and SAP plan to develop over 100 AI solutions tailored for sectors such as industrial manufacturing, retail, and utilities. Additionally, the collaboration aims to establish next-generation reference architectures to streamline enterprise processes, leveraging SAP BTP, SAP Signavio, and LeanIX offerings. Enterprises will benefit from IBM Consulting Advantage, accessing IBM's AI services platform and proprietary methods to drive value generation. Furthermore, SAP will utilize IBM's Granite family of large language models to develop AI use cases, ensuring a comprehensive approach to digital transformation across industries.
