Booz Allen has successfully advanced the cybersecurity capabilities of federal agencies by deploying endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions as part of the Department of Homeland Security’s Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) program. Tasked by the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), Booz Allen rapidly rolled out EDR technologies to five major federal agencies, significantly enhancing network visibility and transforming cyber threat management. This deployment supports CISA's mission to strengthen federal cybersecurity by improving visibility, reducing attack surfaces, and enhancing response capabilities.
EDR technology, crucial to the CDM program, provides deep insights into endpoint activities and behaviors, automating threat detection and response processes. With the mandate from Executive Order 14028, federal agencies are required to implement EDR tools to bolster their cybersecurity posture. Booz Allen's expertise in integrating and configuring EDR solutions has addressed the unique needs of each agency, delivering these capabilities swiftly and effectively.
